Start with the garment, not the print
A perfect print on a cheap shirt is still a cheap shirt. For trade use, look for 190gsm+ fabric weight in tees and proper trade brands for hi-vis and pants — Bisley, Syzmik, DNC, JB’s and Hard Yakka all make ranges built for Australian conditions. We quote any of these on request, and every garment tier we stock is wash-tested with our own printing process before it earns a place in the range.
The layout that works
The classic tradie setup exists because it works: logo on the left chest (visible in every handshake and quote conversation), business name and phone number across the back (readable from across the street while you’re working). Add sleeve logos for sponsors or certifications, and individual names if you run a bigger crew.
Hi-vis: know your site’s rules
Hi-vis isn’t one thing — day-only and day/night garments serve different requirements, and what your site demands depends on the work and the hours. Australian standards (the AS/NZS high-visibility clothing standards) govern the garment classes; your site induction or safety officer will tell you which class applies. When you order, tell us where the crew works and we’ll match a compliant range — and we’ll never print over the reflective tape or compliance zones.
Print durability on site
Site wear is brutal: UV, sweat, abrasion, weekly hot washes. Our DTF prints are rated 50+ washes without cracking or peeling — but you can extend any print’s life by washing cold, turning garments inside-out, and skipping the dryer when you can. Cheap vinyl lettering is where most workwear dies; high-density DTF transfers are a different animal.
